Sept. 10, at 8:07 a.m., Charles F. Crunk, 37, 1005 Broom St., was issued city ordinance citation for excessive vegetation, outdoor accumulation of junk and trash and windblown trash. Crank was given a city court date.

Sept. 10, at 9:19 a.m., Jeffrey T. Vice, 33, Mattoon, was arrested in the 700block of North Central on a failure to appear warrant. Vice was transported to the Edgar County jail pending posting of bond.

Paris Fire Department

Sept. 4, at 5:04 p.m., the department was dispatched to 623 South Austin for a carbon monoxide investigation. No problems were found at the location.

Sept. 4, at 5:47 p.m., the department was dispatched to 228 East Madison for a car and lawn mower accident. Firefighters assisted the Horizon Health Ambulance crew in loading one patient for transport.

Sept. 5, at 8:18 p.m., the department was dispatched to the intersection of the Shiloh Road and state Route 133 for a car and motorcycle accident.

Sept. 6, at 5:40 a.m., the department was dispatched to West Garfield to assist the fire department.

Sept. 6, at 2:15 p.m., the department was dispatched to 1875th Street and 125th Road for a truck and 4-wheeler accident. Firefighters assisted the Horizon Health ambulance crew with loading one male patient for transport.

Sept. 6, at 4:43 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 6, at 6:27 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 9, at 7:17 a.m., the department was dispatched to 720 Springfield for a reported structure fire. On scene, firefighters found the former Johnson Bait Shop fully involved. The building was a total loss and the fire remains under investigation. The Vermilion Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District covered the Paris Fire Station against additional calls, and the Horizon Health Ambulance responded at the scene for stand-by duty.

Sept. 10, at 7:03 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.
