Student council comes together to focus on future causes

HUME–Members of the Shiloh Student Council went to the Prince of Peace Church in St. Joesph on Jan. 15 for an event allowing members to gather ideas and information to use for their own council.

The event was hosted by the St. Joseph student council. They also provided Chick-fil-A for attendees.

Several groups of other students from multiple schools gathered to learn about topics such as community service, bonding and participation among members. As the members learned about these subjects, many were gathering information to use for the upcoming event.

In Hume, on Feb. 11-15, the group will be hosting Shiloh’s Homecoming, most commonly known as Winterfest. The theme this year was selected to be “Under the Sea.”

On Feb. 12, the council will be organizing a boys’ volleyball tournament called, “Powderbuff”, to raise money for the Joshua’s Great Things Charity. The charity selection provides money for pediatric brain cancer research and helps families that need it most. More information can be found in the future on Shiloh School’s Facebook page.
