A crash involving several vehicles forced first responders to shut down State Route 1 south of Paris on Wednesday, April 10. The accident occurred next to Reynolds Way, just south of North American Lighting, just before 4 p.m.
According to Paris Fire Chief Chad Crampton, one vehicle was overturned and obstructed both lanes of traffic, but no fatalities were reported.
Crews were hard at work clearing the roadway and were close to reopening the northbound lane of traffic at around 4:30 p.m.
State Route 1 has been cleared per Crampton.
