Jan. 10, at 3:22 a.m., Thomas L. Felgenhauer, 54, Paris, was arrested at 300 South Main and charged with two counts of aggravated battery. Felgenhauer was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending a court appearance.
Jan. 10, at 10:22 a.m., a two-vehicle accident with injury occurred at West Court and Central Street. The first vehicle involved was a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by James W. Clark, 89, 5 Circle Drive. The second vehicle was a 1999 Honda Civic driven by Mandana L. Rinesmith, 38, 644 E. Court, Apt. 1. A passenger in the Rinesmith vehicle was Steven M. Mears, 44, 644 E. Court, Apt. 1. Mears was transported to Paris Community Hospital by a personal vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damages in the accident. Rinesmith was cited at the scene with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended. She was released on a notice to appear in court.
Jan. 10, at 8:53 p.m., Mark A. Jones, 59, 411 Water, was stopped at High and Floyd and charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration. Jones was released on a notice to appear in court.
Jan. 10, at 11:17 p.m., Austin F. Gilliam, 48, no address provided, was issued a city ordinance violation 132.5-possession of cannabis paraphernalia. Gilliam was given a city court date.
