Paris Police Department

Oct. 11, at 2:29 p.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred at Jasper and Central. The first vehicle involved was a 2007 Dodge Caravan driven by Albert F. Rubenacker, 56, 702 W. Elizabeth Street. The second vehicle was a 2004 Ford Utility driven by Timothy R. Shell, 53, 309 W. Crawford Street. Both vehicles sustained damages. Rubenacker was issued a citation for failure to yield at intersection and was released on a notice to appear in court.

 

Paris Fire Department

Oct. 5, at 3:08 p.m., the Vermilion Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 6, at 2:44 a.m., the department was dispatched for a one-vehicle accident at an unknown location in the Oliver area. The vehicle was found one-quarter mile west of the intersection at 2300 Road and 1620 Street in Clark County. Paris Fire assisted with one patient.

Oct. 6, at 11:31 a.m., the department was dispatched for a two-vehicle accident in front of Taco Bell on Jasper Street. Firefighters secured both vehicles.

Oct. 6, at 1:28 p.m., the department was dispatched to the American Legion for a possible gas leak. AmerenCIPS also responded and two small leaks were discovered.

Oct. 7, at 8:52 p.m., the department was dispatched to 513 Prairie for an illegal burn. The fire was extinguished and a citation was issued for violating the city burn ordinance.

Oct. 8, at 3:27 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 9, at 11:59 a.m., the Vermilion Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 11, at 6:03 p.m., the department was dispatched to 21542 Terre Haute Road for a one-vehicle accident. The Vermilion Station of the Paris Community Fire Protection District also responded to the call.
