Kansas School Board meets

KANSAS - The Kansas School Board had a short meeting Wednesday, May 15, to allow board members to attend the baccalaureate service for the graduating class of 2019.

A couple of action items were concluded during the brief session.

Board member Gabe Boedecker was appointed to serve as a representative to the Eastern Illinois Special Education governing board, replacing Matt Ehlers. The EIASE governing board is made of one school board member from each of the member’s district.

The board approved posting the final budget for the 2018-2019 school year beginning May 22. In addition, the board established a budget hearing at 6 p.m. June 26.
