Janet Louise Switzer, 79, of Paris, passed away at 4:43 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a devoted homemaker.
A service celebrating her life is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Templeton Funeral Home with the Pastor Bill Duke officiating. Burial follows in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born June 20, 1940, in Paris, the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Evard Crawford, Jr. She married Charles H. Switzer on Oct. 14, 1988, in Terre Haute, Ind. He preceded her in death Nov. 28, 2016.
Survivors are three children, Leo (Lori) Shanks II of Kansas and Cindy (Bob) Hukill of Paris and Debbie Crawford of Paris; four step-children, Jeff (Mary) Switzer of Paris, Brian (Bobbie Jo) Switzer of Paris, Randy (Becky) Switzer of Brocton and Kim Sanders of Paris; a sister, Jean Rappe of Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Evard; a sister, Kay Richert; and a granddaughter, Nicole Dunn.
Mrs. Switzer was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
