Larry Allen Brown, 82, Paris, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care Center in Paris. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial follows at Edgar Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 211. Visitation is 9:00 a.m. until the service time.

Mr. Brown was born to the late Alonzo and Ruby Jones Brown in Paris at 12:20 a.m. Jan. 1, 1938, making him the first baby of the new year. He married Rosemary Sager in Marshall on Jan. 15, 1983, and she survives.

He is survived by a sister, Nancy Ellen Foote; daughters Melissa Renee Brown, Jessica Rae Brown, Anne Marie Sanabria and Ceceilia Lynn Bhedid, all of Arizona; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by siblings Howard Eugene Brown, Russell Atwood Brown, James Irving Brown, Alonzo Patty Jr. Brown, Lelah Bernadine Alexander and Marian Theodosia Radcliff.

Mr. Brown graduated from Paris High School in 1956. The day after graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served for 21 years. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.  In later years, Mr. and Mrs. Brown attended First Assembly of God in Paris.  He was a member of American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.
