Matthew Michael Morgan, 31, of Paris, and formerly of Chicago, rejoined the Flow on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in Paris.

A service celebrating his life is 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Templeton Funeral Home. Private interment is at a later date. Visitation is from 4 p.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Morgan was born July 21, 1989, in Cook County, to his loving mother, the late Carolyn Agnes Madej, and his father, the late Charles Edward Morgan. He was raised in Chicago until he moved to the Paris area and married Avery M. Turner-Bailey on March 19, 2014.

He now leaves behind his wife, Avery (age 29); their daughters, Zoey (age 7) and Zailey (age 7 months); his grandfather, Raymond Madej; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Morgan was a very firm believer in his spirituality as well as the energy of the universe. He often said how he thought of himself as a free love hippie who walked a shamanistic path, which is why he was passionate about his masonry work at Spence Monument Company.

He treasured above all else experiencing Mother Nature with his family which contributed to an extensive collection of animals, reptiles, and tarantulas. He was a lone-wolf biker who rode year-round, and he loved involving his daughter, Zoey. They were most likely to be found in the garage tinkering on some small motor or new project.

Mr. Morgan would have said to us all, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience – and spirits never die!”
