Paris Police Department

Sept. 23, at 8:30 p.m., Jacob L. Feller, 20, 316 Parish, was stopped at Washington and Bayard and charged with suspended registration for a no-insurance conviction and driving while license suspended. Feller was released on a notice to appear in court.

Sept. 23, at 10:08 p.m., Kane A. Cruz, 22, 726 N. Central, was arrested at 720 E. Court, #48, on an in-state warrant. Cruz was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

Sept. 23, at 10:45 p.m., Thomas J. Sutton, 26, Paris, was arrested at Wal-Mart and charged with burglary. Sutton was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

Sept. 23, at 11:48 p.m., Lester S. McGee, 39, Terre Haute, Ind., was stopped on East Jasper and charged with driving without insurance. McGee was released on a notice to appear in court.

Paris Fire Department

Sept. 17, at 7:19 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 18, at 9:31 a.m., the department was dispatched to 11396 Blackhawk for a transformer fire. Firefighters stood by on scene until an Ameren repair crew arrived.

Sept. 18, at 10:40 a.m., the department was dispatched to North Central to assist the police department

Sept. 18, at 12:34 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 18, at 2:31 p.m., the department was dispatched for a reported fire at Specialty Battery, 1614 S. Main. The building was heavily involved upon arrival. The fire was extinguished and remains under investigation by the Paris Police Department and the Illinois State Fire Marshal.

Sept. 19, at 9:50 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept 19, at 5:53 p.m., the department was dispatched to 316 North Central for a smoke complaint.

Sept. 20, at 6:55 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 20, at 11:02 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 21, at 6:53 a.m., the department was dispatched for a car/pedestrian accident.

Sept. 21, at 7:53 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Sept. 23, at 11:04 a.m., the department was dispatched to 146 Brookstone Lane for an automatic alarm. The call was canceled en route and firefighters were advised the alarm was triggered by burned food.
