Oct. 14, at 12:35 a.m., Jose L. Fuentes, 30, 607 Cherry Point, Lot 42, was arrested in the 400 block of North Main and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no headlights when required, no valid drivers license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Fuentes was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending the posting of bond.

Oct. 14, at 5:11 p.m., Jamesray A. Evans, 29, homeless, was arrested at 15150 U.S. Highway 150 and charged with burglary and possession of hypodermic syringe. Evans was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending a court appearance.

Oct. 14, at 5:30 p.m., Michael A. Shanks, 32, 114 North St., was arrested in the 600 block of North Main and charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. Shanks was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

Oct. 8, at 2:28 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 9, at 7:06 p.m., the department was dispatched to 514 North Central for a possible illegal burn. No problems were found.

Oct. 9, at 8:31 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 9, at 9:02 p.m., the department was dispatched to 709 West Madison for a possible illegal burn. The resident was advised of the city’s burn ordinance.

Oct. 10, at 8:54 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 11, at 11:08 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 11, at 3:23 p.m., the department was dispatched to 311 West Wood for a tree that fell on a building. Maintenance removed the tree.

Oct. 11, at 3:56 p.m., the department was dispatched to 609 North Main for a tree in the power lines. On scene, firefighters called for the electric service crew.

Oct. 11, at 4:08 p.m., the department was dispatched to the West Lake for a report of down power lines. On scene, it was determined the down lines were telephone lines and posed no danger.

Oct. 11, at 5:19 p.m., the department was dispatched to 619 North Main for a down power line. Firefighters stood by at the scene until Ameren arrived.

Oct. 11, at 8:16 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 11, at 10:07 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 12, at 3:54 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 12, at 4:36 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 13, at 12:47 p.m., the department was dispatched to Walcott for a smell of smoke. On scene, firefighters advised the resident at 305 Walcott of the city burn ordinance.

Oct. 13, at 2:45 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 13, at 8:33 p.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Oct. 14, at 6:09 a.m., the department was dispatched to 1200 and 1200 for a one-vehicle accident. Firefighters assisted with two patients and stood by until a wrecker cleared the scene.

Oct. 14, at 6:18 a.m., the department was dispatched to 9 Lakewood Drive for a possible natural gas leak. On scene, firefighters stood by until Ameren arrived, and the utility worker advised the resident to contact a repair service.

Oct. 14, at 2:42 p.m., the department was dispatched to 219 Bristol for a possible structure fire. The fire was out upon arrival. The resident lit a grill too close to the house.

Oct. 15, at 8:05 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.
