Nov. 8, at 5:09 p.m., a two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred at 1005 South Central. The first vehicle involved was a 2005 Chevrolet driven by Brian K. Griffin, 40, 612 S. Austin. The second vehicle was a 2012 Chevrolet driven by Ada R. Henderson, 61, 420 Chestnut, Apt. D2. Both vehicles were damaged. No citations were issued at the time of the accident.

Nov. 8, at 3:30 p.m., Dalton L. Newman, 23, 417 W. Carroll St., was arrested at 111 Forest and charged with theft of less than $300 and resisting a peace officer. Newman was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

Nov. 8, at 5:34 p.m., Christina M. Miller, 35, Dana, Ind., was stopped in the 200 block of West Wood and charged with improper use of registration. Miller was released on a notice to appear in court.

Nov. 8, at 11:12 p.m., a male juvenile was issued a city ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. The male was given a city court date.

Nov. 8, at 11:20 p.m., James W. Kindred, 23, 230 N. Austin, was arrested at 106 N. Main and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Kindred was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending a court appearance.

Nov. 9, at 12:01 a.m., Richard T. Wells, 25, 330 E. Union, was arrested at 211 West Washington on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. He was also charged with obstructing a peace officer involving an injury. Wells was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending extradition.

Nov. 9, at 12:01 a.m., Tyge A. Hissem, 25, 307 Bayard, was arrested at 211 West Washington and charged with obstructing a peace officer. Hissem was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

Nov. 9, at 1:35 a.m., Cody A. Rigdon, 29, 304 Chestnut, was arrested at his residence and charged with reckless conduct and disorderly conduct. Rigdon was transported to the Edgar County Jail pending posting of bond.

Paris Fire Department

Nov. 3, at 12:44 p.m., the department was dispatched to 414 West Benton for a report of burning leaves. The resident was advised of the city burn ordinance.

Nov. 6, at 1:09 a.m., the department was dispatched to provide medical assistance.

Nov. 6, at 7:30 a.m., the department was dispatched to U.S. Route 150 and Vermilion Road for a multi-vehicle accident. Firefighters secured the vehicles against hazards and assisted with traffic control until the Illinois State Police arrived.

Nov. 6, at 9:52 a.m., the department was dispatched to 1011 North Main for an automatic alarm indicating a water flow issue. A problem was found with the compressor.

Nov. 7, at 8:27 p.m., the department was dispatched to 711 Maple for an odor investigation. No problems were found at the location.
