OAKLAND — Anna Marie Johnson Walsh, 85, of Paris, and formerly of Metcalf, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 31, 2020, at her home.
A family graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Shields Cemetery. Krabel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Walsh was born May 15, 1935, in Crooked Creek Township, Cumberland County, the daughter of John McCoy and Lu Belle Thomas Johnson. She married Roy Walsh Aug. 9, 1955, and he preceded her in death June 21, 2017.
She is survived by a daughter, Benita (James) Wallace of Leaner, Texas; a brother, Dennis Johnson of Paris; and two sisters, Mary Roberts of Neoga and Ruby Pinnell of Paris.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Walsh was a founding member of the Paris Southern Baptist Church. She formerly worked as a home health aide, and enjoyed crochet, fishing, cooking, baking, puzzles, reading and studying the Bible. She spent her entire life caring deeply and giving selflessly to everyone she met. She was a child at heart and her uplifting spirit and humor brought so much joy and laughter. She will be sorely missed!
