Smashing for Shrine Kids demo derby announced

The Edgar County Shrine Club invites the community to an exciting evening of demolition derby action as part of its annual charitable fundraiser, “Smashing for Shrine Kids.” The event will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Edgar County Fairground.

The derby is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with registration open from 1 to 4 p.m.

All proceeds from this event directly benefit the Edgar County Shrine Club’s mission of supporting Shrine Kids. This is a wonderful opportunity for families, motorsports enthusiasts, and community members to come together for a great cause.

An All Access Pass is available for just $15 for adults. Children age 10 and under are admitted for free,

The car entry fee is $20 per vehicle. The “Mad Dog” rule applies for all classes.

The following classes will compete, with payouts awarded to the top five finishers:

Classes: Limited Weld • Compact/Midsize • Stock Full Size • Mini Trucks/SUVs/Vans

1st Place: $1,000

2nd Place: $500

3rd Place: $250

4th Place: $125

5th Place: $75

Gut-N-Go Class Payouts

1st Place: $500

2nd Place: $250

3rd Place: $100

4th Place: $50

In addition, a free Powerwheels vehicle will be given away during the event.
